Beginning with the experience of being present with ourselves & our food
(during guided eating meditation),
we then explore techniques & strategies
of using meditation techniques during our daily lives

to establish
a satisfying & pleasurable relationship with food and eating.

We will work with food & eating (so bring food.)
  Each week we will examine new aspects of eating and our relationship to food:
our thought process, feelings in our body, everything that makes up that experience for us.
  And we will explore ways of ‘dismantling’ whatever is not helpful or healthy,
as we gain insights & perspective - which affect behavior.


Stephanie Nash & Pam Tarlow are facilitators with Vipassana Support International,
and have been trained by Shinzen Young in mindfulness meditation techniques.  
Stephanie has psychology degree from Duke Univ. a Masters from Yale, and is a meditation teacher
in Santa Monica.   Pam is a pharmacist at the Santa Monica Homeopathic Pharmacy
and  lectures on topics such as aromatherapy &  hormones .  Pam & Stephanie have each developed
their own ways of using mindfulness techniques to help with challenging situations
around food and eating. and in this workshop, they combine their efforts & experience
to share with & support others with a complex issue.
